Kristen Henry

Kristen Henry
Writer/Director/Producer

Kristen is a self-confessed perfectionist who has too many creative interests and gets too little sleep! Some of her pursuits have included singing, acting, playing the flute, sketching, graphic design and occasionally making jewelry as gifts. Her performances on stage date back to elementary school, and are too numerous to mention.

In 2003 she took a video editing class and decided her schedule wasn’t full enough, so she should take on a new creative hobby. Making movies has now become one of her favorite top two creative endeavors, along with singing opera, which she studies privately in Philadelphia.

After directing and editing several short movies, this is Kristen’s first major narrative work, and she can’t wait to step-up to the challenge. She also feels incredibly lucky that she has such a talented and supportive group of friends to work with, and thanks them all for allowing her to boss them around on camera for her own personal amusement!

Connie Majka

Connie Majka
Jordan
Public Relations and Production Coordinator

Connie started her acting career playing Thumbelina in a first grade play. She starred in several ensemble original productions at the Actor’s Workshop in Philadelphia and designed sets for Cavalleria Rusticana and Madame Butterfly for Community College of Philadelphia Student Opera Company. She later toured with the road company of Godspell and played the role of Gillian in Bell, Book and Candle opposite a handsome Siamese cat who thought he was the star. She teaches hula and Polynesian Dance in Narberth, PA and co-authored the book, The Art of Hula Dancing, Sway Your Way to a Sexier You. She is thrilled to work with A-List Director Kristen Henry in this low-budget/high concept vehicle. Connie had this to say about the character she plays. “Jordan allowed me to explore my ‘woundedness’ and develop a deeper connection to feelings that were resistant to negative connections like fear, anger and dull men.”

She thanks her husband and daughter for their love and support.

Angelique Velazquez

Angelique Velazquez
Ani

Angelique is an aspiring actress and dancer who loves to be on stage. Her acting career started in eighth grade when she played the role of Romeo’s mother in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Since then, Angelique has performed in many plays and dance shows in Philadelphia and is very excited to debut in her first movie. Of the new experience, the actress says "I just hope I get discovered."

Michael Brooks

Michael Brooks
Jackson

Michael’s acting career didn’t start on stage like everyone else’s. His career started behind the stage as his high school’s Stage Manager. Michael loved the idea of creating a fantasy world in which people could lose themselves for an hour or two. It wasn’t until his first kdot production that he decided to bring his talents from behind the curtain to the front of it. Michael is very excited to be working on the first full length kdot production along with his beautiful fiancée Amanda, who made him write that because she is sitting right behind him.

Jenny Cardoso

Jenny Cardoso
Jesse

After many years of avoiding the stage due to a frightful high school experience, Jenny is looking forward to making her debut performance as Jesse, a waitress. Actually, she says her high school stint – when she filled in for the leading lady and had to plant a kiss on the lips of her least favorite classmate – was far less critical in her preparation for this role than were her years behind the apron as waitress in various and sundry establishments. Jenny also brings rich experience in choir performances as she has been singing alto for most of her life, with the highlight being a tour of England with her college choir.

Mike Dameron

Mike Dameron
Bartender/Waiter

Mike is a fun loving, down to earth guy. When he is not acting, he can be found playing with Legos or his rubberband ball. Mike first appeared in the kdot production Easy Money, at the last minute request of his dear friend Mike Brooks. He had to warm up to the role, but once in character, he was unstoppable. Mike has also starred in numerous umm, "independent films,” we'll call them. His life long dream is to have a role in a kdot production where he has more than two lines!

Dave Foster

Dave Foster
David

Dave (www.thedavefoster.com) is an aspiring actor residing in Lancaster, PA. Recently, he provided a lead acting turn in 2007's The Creek (www.thecreekmovie.com). Dave is a creative sort who can frequently be found scribbling his own tawdry yarns, copywriting or subtle vignettes and diatribes on the history of misery in South Central Pennsylvania. He dreams of a career in front of or behind the camera, stand-up comedy, writing, professional baseball, dreidel-making, heart-breaking or wizardry/sorcery.

Lauryn Henry

Lauryn Henry
Krissy

I have come to realize my creativity and artistic genius should not be confined to a pencil & paper. So I am expanding to the realm of acting (after an extended stay in the realm of insanity...they had bagels). I have taken on many small roles, in hopes of honing my new craft. It doesn’t matter that the only person who will “hire” me is my older sister...and only when she can’t get anyone else. I'm sure it's all a big coincidence.

I am excited to step into the shoes of my newest role, Bitchy Lady #3...Uh I mean Krissy. And I only hope I can do the part justice.

"Did you punch her?!?"

Victoria Hewitt

Victoria Hewitt
Web Design/Photography
Valerie

Victoria reluctantly appeared in a cameo role in kdot production's Easy Money. Luckily, Kristen had plenty of volunteers for roles in this movie, as it was an experience she would prefer not to repeat. She has volunteered to stay safely behind the computer screen and the camera for the duration. She would like to wish the cast the best of luck...because they're going to need it.

Apparently I spoke too soon.

Dorothy Lemanski

Dorothy Lemanski
Cast

Dorothy Lemanski is an aspiring actress who has been a player in various performances. Her first was a debut in a high school play, the Million Heirs, where she played an old and raggedy owner of an inn. The second was a short film Easy Money by the “well-known” director, producer, editor, etc., Kristen Henry, also starring Michael Brooks, Clarke Wright and Michael Dameron. Working with the cast of the new movie will be a blast considering she has worked with several of the experienced and talented cast members already. Although she is waiting for her talent to be discovered, she knows that she is the sassiest of them all and will continue to grow into a Hollywood STAR and be on level with Julia Roberts, Sharon Stone and Halle Berry.

Lia Mastrogiacomo

Lia Mastrogiacomo
Production Assistant

Lia Mastrogiacomo spent three "seasons" at the Walnut Street Theater Camp. She was involved in writing and acting in several ensemble summer stock productions. She is new to film and the tech side but enjoys the work. She also enjoys keeping an eye on her mom, Connie Majka who plays Jordan.

Mick McCleery

Mick McCleery
Consultant

Mick is entirely too busy to write his bio, so the Director is doing it for him. Why is he so busy, you ask? Because Mick is a talented, award-winning filmmaker himself, and is currently in post production on his latest movie Tribute This!(Check out the website!) Some of his past projects have included The Altruist, Track 16, The Killing of Bobby Greene, Don't Watch This Show!, and, of course, One by One, the first film he ever made and namesake of his production company. Originally cast as David (but unable to film because of scheduling difficulties), Mick remains a constant source of movie-making knowledge and moral support for the Director, who, someday, may stop harassing him with constant emails.

Marsha Perry

Marsha Perry
Monique

Often behind the camera, Marsha Perry steps onto the screen and plays Monique. Her acting career began with her starring role as the rabbit in the C.W. Henry production of The Rabbit Who Wanted Wings. Later she moved to television and played herself opposite Gene London in the Philadelphia television pilot Sidewalk for Science. A graduate of Temple University’s School of Communications & Theatre, Marsha often did “bit” performances on the WFIL-AM Joey Reynolds Show and WSNI-AM Harvey Holiday Show in the 1980s. Her life-long passion for acting continues and she looks forward to future roles in other kdot productions.

Gayle Perry-Johnson

Gayle Perry-Johnson
Tara

The daughter of legendary Philadelphia radio personality “BJ ‘n the Morning,” Gayle Perry-Johnson is an up and coming actress. She was discovered during a local screening of a short film where she played Celie from the movie The Color Purple. The Class of 2007 high school graduate hopes to land roles in college productions. If professional acting doesn’t work out, she can always use her acting talents as a lawyer!

Amanda Rhinier

Amanda Rhinier

Amanda is no stranger to acting. Her mother started her at the ripe old age of 10! She has appeared in many community theatre and school productions in the Lancaster, PA area, such as: The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Veruca Salt), Diary of Anne Frank (Mrs. Frank), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), and most recently playing Zeresh, Haaman’s evil wife in Ester: The Scepter and the Star. Much love to all my fans! ‘I’m ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille!’”

Stephanie Smith

She has two children, and four grandchildren. She has met this wonderful man and with their union of marriage will have 11 grandchildren together. All of them are excited and supportive of her debut in Happy Hour.

Khyri Williams

Khyri Williams
Gregory

Khyri caught the acting bug at an early age. Whether it was mimicking Eddie Murphy’s infamous standup comic routines or reenacting MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Khyri has always had an audience. His passion for acting is prevalent in his overall demeanor and sense of humor. Growing up as his mother’s only child, Khyri spent countless hours cultivating his inner muse (split personalities!). This lighthearted young man sees a stuffy social gathering as his opportunity to shine.
